High Reach Forklift Operator

Could you be the next High Reach Forklift Operator to join us?
 
You'll be joining an established warehouse team handling industrial products, freight, inventory, dispatch and general warehouse operations. This role suits someone who operates safely, works efficiently without cutting corners and is looking for a long-term opportunity.
 
You'll need to be confident operating high reach forklifts, working around racking, supporting inbound and outbound freight, and maintaining accuracy across picking, packing and stock movements.
 
Key details

• Location: Dandenong
• Roster: 8:00am-4:00pm, plus overtime
• Employment: Casual assignment with potential to transition to permanent within 1-3 months
• Start date: ASAP, subject to completing the recruitment process

Key responsibilities

• Operating high reach and counterbalance forklifts safely and confidently
• Completing stock put-away, retrieval and replenishment within warehouse racking
• Loading and unloading trucks, containers and deliveries
• Checking incoming goods and placing stock in the correct locations
• Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch
• Using RF scanners and warehouse systems to record stock movements accurately
• Assisting with cycle counts, stock checks and inventory control
• Completing warehouse documentation as required
• Conducting forklift pre-start checks and reporting faults or hazards
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe
• Supporting the wider warehouse team with general duties as needed

What you'll need

• A current LF forklift licence
• Strong, recent high reach forklift experience
• Confidence putting away and retrieving pallets from elevated racking
• Counterbalance forklift experience
• Previous experience in warehousing, distribution or logistics
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures
• Ability to perform the manual handling duties required
• Reliable transport to Dandenong
• Availability to work 8:00am-4:00pm, plus overtime as required
• A reliable, punctual and professional attitude

Experience operating Crown or Toyota high reach forklifts, working around five-level racking, and using RF scanners or SAP will be well regarded.
 
Recruitment requirements

• Successful applicants will need to complete an interview, an onsite forklift assessment, a recent police check and a urine drug and alcohol test before commencement.
