High School Math & Writing Tutor

We’re looking for a tutoring unicorn.

* MUST COMPLETE A MATH AND READING ASSESSMENT ON FIRST INTERVIEW*

You know that person who is weirdly good at math AND writing, naturally great with kids, and has always felt like they were made to teach?

We’re looking for you.

Auburn Tutoring is looking for an experienced tutor who can connect with middle and high school students and confidently teach:

• High School Math — Algebra through upper-level math
• Writing & English — essays, grammar, organization & academic writing
• Spanish — HUGE bonus, but not required

You should be patient, engaging, dependable, and able to explain something three different ways when the first two don't land.

We especially want someone who genuinely likes teenagers and kids of all ages. Someone who builds relationships easily, good, natural easy, adapatable communication.

The Must-Haves

• Strong high school math skills
• Strong writing/English skills
• Experience tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or working with kids
• Dependable and comfortable working independently
• Two education/field-related references
• Willing to complete a math skills assessment during the interview

Spanish experience? Even better.

Why us at Auburn Tutoring?

We’re a small, community-focused tutoring center that takes education seriously, ourselves, slightly less seriously.

We care about building students’ skills, confidence, and independence, and we want tutors who feel the same way.

If teaching feels less like a job you can do and more like something you're made to do, we'd love to meet you.

We are taking our time hiring for this position.
