High School Math Tutor (Mandarin Required)

As part of our commitment to academic excellence, we are seeking passionate and experienced BC highschool G8-12 math tutor. Tutoring subjects include: math 8-10, precal 11-12, calculus 12.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Tailor lesson plans to meet individual student needs, ensuring mastery of subject content and preparation for school exams
• Collaborate with the teaching team to refine curriculum materials and teaching strategies.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and needs.
• Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and observations to provide constructive feedback.
• Foster a love for learning by encouraging student participation and collaboration.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
• Current college students with strong academic performance in relevant subjects are welcome to apply.

Experiences:

• Minimum of 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience in math tutoring.
• Proven success in preparing students for highschool course with good result.

Skills:

• Strong command of English; proficiency in additional languages such as Mandarin is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information to students and parents.
• Ability to develop and design teaching material and curriculums.
• Ability to utilize computerized tools for lesson planning and student assessment.
• Passion for educating young minds and a commitment to student success.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
