High School Tutor for Math

Overview

Kairos Academics is hiring! We are looking for high school Math tutors that are located in Irvine, CA. Our team develops individualized learning programs tailored specifically to each of our students' needs to aid the student's current studies. Tutoring sessions are either delivered one-on-one or in a small group class. We are looking for qualified tutors to join our team.

Prospective tutors should have the following traits:

• Passionate about helping students succeed and will go the extra mile to ensure that they will
• Knowledgeable in the subject material they are teaching
• Experience with teaching and mentoring
• Patient, prompt, and professional

Responsibilities:

• Create supportive & encouraging environments that promote student growth
• Provide personalized and high-quality academic instruction for students
• Give prompt feedback on student performance/progress to parents and company staff as needed - usually once a month
• Schedule with students and will adjust as needed

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in/holding a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable form of transportation
• Substantive experience tutoring or teaching middle and/or high school students

Training available for qualified candidates!

Potential subjects to teach:

• High school-level math (geometry, pre-algebra, algebra, pre-calculus, calculus)
• Honors level math (enhanced math, honors math)
• AP Level math coursework (AP Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics)
• AP Level computer science (AP Computer Science A, AP Computer Science Principles)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
