Deliver Critical High Voltage Cable Works

What Youll Do

As an HV Cable Jointer, youll:

• Undertake cable preparation, installation, terminations and jointing at 11kV, 33kV and above on renewable energy and electrical infrastructure projects
• Assist electricians and other trades on larger installations, including earthing works and related site activities
• Act as Installation Lead on relevant projects, keeping the Site Manager and Project Manager informed of progress and safe delivery
• Support SAPs and Commissioning Engineers with cable testing, commissioning and energisation activities throughout project delivery
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and apprentices, supporting their development while upholding high standards of workmanship and tidiness
• Promote Powersystems 5 Ps: Priority No.1 Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Pride, Professionalism, Partnership and Proactive

What Were Looking For Cable Jointing / HV Installation

• A JIB-approved ECS card and experience of working safely on construction sites
• Strong hands-on experience in cable preparation, installation, containment, earthing and related HV site works
• Experience completing cable terminations and joints at 33kV within the electrical power, commercial or industrial sector
• At least 3 years experience as a Jointer, with a sound understanding of site standards and safe systems of work
• The ability to plan ahead, follow business processes and handle multiple tasks under time pressure while maintaining quality and tidiness
• Effective communication, attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented approach to resolving problems on site
• A full UK driving licence, the right to work in the UK and flexibility to travel and stay away regularly for project work
