We are hiring a High Voltage Electrical Estimator in Salt Lake City, UT, to manage all aspects of estimating and bidding for transmission, distribution, switchyard, and substation projects.

This position requires strong high-voltage electrical construction knowledge, estimating experience, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple bids while building productive relationships with vendors, customers, and internal project teams.

What You’ll Do

✔ Prepare bids, takeoffs, and detailed cost estimates for high-voltage electrical projects

✔ Develop and oversee preconstruction budgets and preliminary project schedules

✔ Download, organize, and review drawings, specifications, and bid documents

✔ Analyze contract drawings and project requirements to determine scope and potential risks

✔ Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes

✔ Conduct jobsite visits as needed before bid submission

✔ Create high-level project schedules for bid packages

✔ Prepare bid letters, proposal documents, clarifications, and supporting documentation

✔ Present takeoffs, quotes, bid strategies, and proposal documents to leadership for review

✔ Manage multiple active estimates and bid deadlines simultaneously

✔ Maintain accurate, organized, and complete estimating documentation

What You’ll Bring

✔ 5+ years of experience involving electrical construction, design, estimating, or project financials

✔ 2+ years of electrical project management experience or working knowledge

✔ Electrical estimating experience involving transmission, distribution, switchyards, or substations

✔ Strong understanding of high-voltage electrical construction methods and project requirements

✔ Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents

✔ Experience soliciting vendor pricing and preparing complete bid packages

✔ Ability to manage multiple estimates and competing deadlines

✔ Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

✔ Proficiency with Accubid, ConstructJob, or comparable electrical estimating software

✔ Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and Bluebeam

Preferred Qualifications

✔ Experience managing high-revenue electrical projects

✔ Experience with Accubid, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam

✔ Primavera P6 scheduling experience

✔ Electrical project management or field construction background
