This is a pool posting in anticipation of vacancies for the 2027-2028 school year.

PROGRAM SUMMARY: Highline Public Schools TEACH (Targeted Educator Advanced Candidate Hiring) Program is a hiring pathway designed to offer early contracts to Teachers endorsed to teach key hard-to-fill vacancies Those vacancies being roles in Dual Language(Spanish, Somali and Vietnamese) K-12, Special education K-12, and World language Spanish (Secondary). TEACH candidates undergo specialized interviews from admin in our district, thorough reference checks, and if hired, visit schools in our district for early networking.

TEACH hires are those that we believe could be successfully placed across our district in various schools, programs, and communities. Those not extended TEACH contracts may still be competitive candidates for a specific site or program vacancy.

TEACH hires are aligned to Our Promise and Strategic Plan, which will manifest itself in student achievement in service to our community, families, and students. Successful TEACH Hires are those whom we believe could be successfully placed across 80% of our district, in a variety of schools, programs and communities. Placement of 27/28 TEACH Cohort will occur in spring when specific vacancies have been identified.

This post will be reviewed on a routine basis, and selected candidates will be invited for TEACH interviews, based on our district's projected hiring needs. Those who are not extended interviews or contracts may still be competitive candidates for specific site or program vacancies.

Cadre Early Hiring Timeline

• Fall - Application Opens October 1 of every year.
• January - Initial Screening Begins
• February-April - Interviews/Screening/ contracts offered
• Early May - Cadre Placement
