Highway and Bridge Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Preparation and review of Highway DPR and design documents.
• Highway geometric design including horizontal and vertical alignment.
• Preparation/review of plan, profile and cross-section drawings.
• Design of carriageway, intersections, junctions, service roads and other highway components.
• Review of road cross-sections, typical sections and alignment proposals.
• Coordination with survey, pavement, traffic, drainage, structures and other design teams.
• Preparation of BOQ, quantity estimates and cost estimates.
• Preparation of technical reports, design notes and other DPR-related documents.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable IRC, MoRTH and relevant highway standards/specifications.
• Review design calculations, drawings and technical submissions.
• Assist in resolving design issues and providing technical solutions.
• Coordinate with clients/authorities and incorporate their comments into design submissions.
• Support the Project Manager/Team Leader in timely completion of DPR deliverables.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech Civil Engineering.
• 5–8 years of overall experience in Road/Highway projects.
• Relevant experience in DPR / Detailed Engineering / Highway Design preferred.
• Candidates with experience in National Highway / State Highway / major road projects will be preferred.
