Highway Driver

Description

Armour Transportation Systems is currently seeking a professional and safety-focused Highway Driver based out of Fredericton, NB. This position is ideal for drivers who enjoy consistent highway work and a predictable schedule. Drivers will operate a tractor-trailer on a dedicated day run, transporting freight through the Fredericton highway and a designated terminal and customer locations.

What You'll Do

• Operate a Class 1 tractor-trailer in a safe and professional manner.
• Complete scheduled highway runs in designated terminal and customer locations.
• Ensure on-time pickup and delivery of freight.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate driver logs and required transportation documentation.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and applicable transportation regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, terminal personnel and customers.

What You’ll Need

• Valid Class 1 driver's license.
• Minimum 2 years previous tractor-trailer experience.
• Clean driver's abstract and criminal record check.
• Strong knowledge of local and regional routes.
• Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Reliable, professional, and dependable work ethic.
• Experience with freight handling and scanning equipment is an asset.

• Location: Fredericton, NB
• Employment type: Full time, Permanent.
• Shift: Days (Mon - Fri; 6:00AM - 6:00PM)
