In delivering these, the role will:

  • Integrate risk-based, whole-life asset management across planning, design, maintenance and operations
  • Support the end-to-end delivery of projects, including monitoring project performance and identifying risks
  • Own and maintain trusted client relationships

  • Experience (either in consultancy or client-side) in strategic highway asset management
  • Proven track record in managing projects, portfolios, finances and risk
  • Strong knowledge of highway legislation, guidance and policy (e.g. Highways Act, NRSWA, Code of Practice for WMHI, London Mayor’s Transport Strategy)
  • Proficiency with highway asset management systems, activities and datasets
  • Exceptional stakeholder, communication and client relationship management skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

Desirable:

  • Ability to critically review technical work and provide feedback
  • Familiarity with sustainability assessments, carbon calculations and/or circular economy principles
  • Proficiency with technical tools such as Microsoft Power BI and QGIS
