Where will you be working? At M Group Highways, were supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.

Youll be joining our Highways maintenance team in Devon, as the UKs number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

Want to come and be a part of it? What will you be doing?

Youll complete a high level of manual work and be outdoors in all weathers.

Youll undertake highways repairs, including potholes, patching, drainage, footways, and general highway maintenance.

Youll use technology (tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records.

Youll be driving and operating plant and equipment when trained. Do you have experience with plant and equipment operation?

You will take responsibility for vehicles, plant, and materials in your charge.

Well train you to undertake winter and emergency maintenance out-of-hours activities on a standby rota.

What youll bring

• Willing to work in all weathers and unsociable hours as required and be available for out of hours emergency call outs
• UK driving licence
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• CSC
• Team player
• Self motivated
• Practical ability
• A confident and professional manner
• Flexible with ability to undertake night work as required
• Good communication skills

Preferred but not essential

• Previous experience of work on the highway
• Experience/Certificated for operating small plant
• Traffic Management qualification
• NRSWA
• Clean driving licence
• LGV/HGV Driving licence
• Experience on Gully Pumps
