Highways Project Manager

JMT is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their Highways Group in Kennesaw, GA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of complex projects and assists Office Leader and Section Heads with business development, financial management of projects, and management of staff at the local level.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Assist with strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leaders
• Assist with growth of market presence in area through marketing and business development
• Manage financial budget for projects and allocate resources accordingly
• Contribute to the production of proposals
• Serve as a technical expertise resource to project engineers and technical staff
• Identify resources for staffing needs
• Assist with interviews and hiring of staff for the section
• Perform performance reviews for staff based on input from project engineers on assigned teams

Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program
• Professional Engineer License or equivalent
• 10+ years’ experience in specialized discipline
• Project management and business development experience

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with local clients at the county and state level
• Supervisory experience

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
