Pay Rate: $20–$24/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Standard Business Hours

Job Description

We are hiring an experienced HIM Coordinator to support a large healthcare organization with medical record retrieval, chart management, and health information workflows .

In this role, you will work directly with provider offices to obtain medical records, review charts for completeness and accuracy, and ensure documentation is properly organized and accessible. You will also track outstanding records, follow up with provider offices, and help keep retrieval workflows moving efficiently.

This is a hybrid position that combines remote work with local travel to provider offices as needed. There is not a set onsite schedule, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and adjusting their day based on record retrieval and project needs.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in Health Information Management, medical records, or chart retrieval who enjoys working independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Location & Schedule

• Hybrid position with remote work and local travel to provider offices as needed
• Monday–Friday, standard business hours
• Local travel will vary based on project and provider needs
• Must be comfortable working independently in both remote and provider-office settings

Requirements

• 2+ years of HIM, health information, or medical records experience
• Hands-on experience with medical record retrieval or chart retrieval
• Experience navigating EMR/EHR systems , such as Epic, Cerner, Athena, or similar platforms
• Experience communicating and following up with provider offices
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple records, requests, and deadlines
• Comfortable traveling locally to provider offices as needed
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Conversion: Eligible for conversion after the contract period based on performance and organizational needs.
