HIM Inpatient Coder

100% REMOTE OPPORTUNITY

Eligible remote states: District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia

Key Responsibilities: Following established conventions and guidelines, codes and abstracts the medical records of inpatients. Groups codes to determine diagnosis-related groupings (DRGs-CMS and/or APR). Codes Reviews medical records to determine the physicians' diagnosis/procedures for the patient and assigns ICD-10CM/PCS codes to those diagnoses/procedures.

Requirements: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field.

Pay Range: $22.22 to $39.12 Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including the market range, candidates qualifications and experience, as well as internal peer equity.
