Hindsighting Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Hindsighting Manager to review credit underwriting decisions, assess the effectiveness of credit policies and BRE (Business Rules Engine) rules, and identify gaps in manual underwriting to improve portfolio quality and minimize credit losses.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct hindsight reviews of approved and rejected loan applications to evaluate underwriting quality and credit decisions.
• Validate BRE rules, credit scorecards, policy parameters, and deviations against established credit norms.
• Review manual underwriting checks, including income assessment, FOIR, bureau reports, repayment capacity, and customer eligibility.
• Identify gaps in credit assessment, policy adherence, and underwriting processes.
• Analyze delinquency trends, early defaults, and portfolio performance to identify root causes of credit losses.
• Recommend improvements in credit policy, BRE rules, and underwriting processes based on review findings.
• Prepare periodic hindsighting reports, dashboards, and actionable insights for senior management.
• Coordinate with Credit, Risk, Policy, Product, and Technology teams to implement corrective actions.
