Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced DevOps / Platform Engineer to work closely with Data Architects and AI/ML Engineers on secure and scalable Azure AI and data platforms.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Azure infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, cloud security, container platforms, monitoring and production platform engineering.

Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI or Azure AI Foundry is a key requirement for this position.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure Azure landing zones and network architecture for AI and data workloads.
• Configure Private Endpoints, VNet integration, VNet peering and secure connectivity for Azure PaaS and AI services.
• Develop reusable and modular Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps for Python microservices and data workloads.
• Implement Azure Key Vault, RBAC and Managed Identities across development, QA and production environments.
• Deploy and manage production workloads using Azure Container Apps and/or AKS.
• Configure monitoring, telemetry, centralized logging, operational alerting and production observability.
• Monitor Azure OpenAI consumption and implement budget controls and cost optimization mechanisms.
• Work closely with AI/ML Engineers and Data Architects to automate application releases, evaluation workflows and infrastructure hardening.
• Support secure and compliant deployment of AI and data workloads with appropriate PII and data privacy controls.
• Automate Azure infrastructure and operational activities using Azure CLI and scripting.

Candidate Requirements:

• 6+ years of hands-on DevOps / Platform Engineering experience in production Azure environments.
• Azure OpenAI or Azure AI Foundry experience is mandatory/preferred for this requirement.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and/or Bicep.
• Strong experience with GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps CI/CD.
• Experience with Azure PaaS and AI services including Azure Container Apps, AKS, API Management, Azure AI Search and Key Vault.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking including VNet, VNet Peering, Private Endpoints and VNet Integration.
• Strong experience with Azure RBAC, Managed Identity, Key Vault and cloud security.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, telemetry and production troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Azure FinOps, budget controls, usage tracking and API/token cost optimization.
• Strong Azure CLI and automation experience.

Important Screening Point:

Candidates with hands-on production experience in Azure OpenAI or Azure AI Foundry should be given first priority.

Candidates without direct Azure OpenAI / Azure AI Foundry experience should only be considered if they have strong experience deploying and securing comparable Azure AI/PaaS workloads using Private Endpoints, VNet, Key Vault, RBAC and Managed Identity.
