HIRING IB Math & Science Teacher

We are seeking highly skilled teachers to provide individualized instruction to International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme students. Applicants may specialize in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology. Expertise in multiple subjects is an advantage but is not required.

The ideal candidate has strong subject knowledge, proven teaching ability, and the confidence to explain challenging concepts clearly at both Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL), within their specialization.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, well-prepared lessons tailored to each student’s abilities, learning needs, and academic goals.
• Teach IB Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (AA), Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation (AI), and/or IB science subjects within the teacher’s expertise.
• Strengthen conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and exam technique.
• Assess learning gaps and develop targeted study plans.
• Prepare students for assessments and examinations using appropriate practice materials and detailed feedback.
• Guide students in research, investigation, data analysis, and Internal Assessment skills while preserving student ownership and academic integrity.
• Maintain accurate lesson records and provide regular progress reports.
• Collaborate with the academic team and communicate concerns promptly.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Education, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience teaching IB Diploma subjects, particularly at HL for applicants seeking HL assignments.
• Strong knowledge of the relevant IB syllabus, assessment objectives, and marking criteria.
• Excellent English communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas in accessible steps.
• Ability to solve unfamiliar, advanced subject problems independently and explain the reasoning accurately.
• Strong lesson preparation, professionalism, punctuality, and classroom management.
• Competence with relevant educational technology, graphing tools, and scientific or mathematical software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching license and/or postgraduate qualification.
• IB professional development or workshop training.
• A record of helping students improve their understanding and academic performance.
• Experience teaching international school students through one-to-one, small-group, or online instruction.

Selection Process

Shortlisted applicants will complete a subject knowledge assessment and demonstration lesson. Candidates must demonstrate accurate subject knowledge, clear explanations, and the ability to respond confidently to student questions. AI tools and answer keys must not substitute for independent subject mastery during the assessment.
