Hiring Lorry Driver for Mining site

About the role

We are looking for a responsible, experienced, and safety-conscious Lorry Driver to join our mining site operations in Sintok, Kedah. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation of materials, equipment, and other site-related goods while ensuring the assigned lorry is properly maintained and operated in accordance with site safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Operate company lorries safely within and outside the mining site as assigned.
• Transport materials, equipment, aggregates, and other goods to designated locations.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and basic checks on the lorry before operation.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and in good operating condition.
• Report any vehicle defects, breakdowns, or safety issues immediately to the supervisor.
• Follow all mining-site traffic rules, safety procedures, and company regulations.
• Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of materials.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and delivery documents where required.
• Assist with loading and unloading activities when necessary.
• Drive responsibly and maintain a strong focus on road and site safety.

About you

• Minimum 3 years of relevant lorry driving experience.
• Possess a valid Class E / E Full and GDL licence, appropriate for the assigned lorry.
• Valid driving licence with a good driving record.
• Must have no criminal record and must not be blacklisted by the relevant authorities.
• Previous experience in a mining, construction, quarry, plantation, or heavy-industry environment is an advantage.
• Familiar with basic vehicle inspection and maintenance.
• Physically in excellent condition and able to work in an outdoor/mining-site environment.
• Responsible, punctual, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
• Able to follow instructions and work independently.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required.
