About the Role

We are hiring a process-driven Managing Editor to oversee timelines, workflows, and book production from manuscript to final publication. This is a strictly operational and service-focused role, distinct from content acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

• Scheduling: Build and manage project timelines to ensure on-sale release dates are met.
• Coordination: Serve as the main point of contact between authors, editors, designers, and production.
• Quality Control: Oversee copyediting, proofreading, typesetting, and adherence to house style.
• Operations: Monitor production costs, manage book metadata, and coordinate Advance Reading Copies (ARCs).

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in publishing workflow, project management, or editorial operations.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Chennai for full-time work from the office.
• Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
