Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with disabilities, including autism, and will be skilled in providing companionship, personal care, and assistance with daily living activities. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

DSP Responsibilities

• Provideindividualized, person-centered support
• Encourage independence and personal choice
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed
• Support meal preparation and household responsibilities
• Assist with community outings, appointments, shopping, and recreational activities
• Provide transportation when required
• Follow individual service plans and agency guidelines
• Complete daily documentation and required electronic records
• Communicate professionally with individuals, coworkers, families, and the management team
• Promote health, safety, dignity, and quality of life

Qualifications

• Dependable, compassionate, patient, and professional
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Current vehicle registration and insurance
• Ability to complete required background screening/Livescan
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• TB clearance and physical examination is required
• Previous DSP, caregiving, CNA, behavioral health, or developmental disability experience is preferred but not required

Pay: $20.25 - $22.00 per hour
