Hiring Server and Bartender

Job Overview

We are seeking energetic, personable, and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as servers and bartenders. We are a small, locally run restaurant specializing in pizza and cocktails. Duties

• Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu offerings with enthusiasm and detailed knowledge of our food and beverage selections
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled efficiently
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card processing, adhering to cash handling procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas in compliance with food safety regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly
• Assist bar setup as needed, demonstrating culinary or cocktail experience to elevate the guest experience
• Manage guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing inquiries about menu ingredients such as wine knowledge or spirits expertise, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and sales processing
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to connect with diverse guests
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during busy hours
• Demonstrated ability in upselling beverages like cocktails, spirits, wines, and additional food items to increase sales revenue
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with beverage service including drink mixing, cocktail preparation, wine service, and spirits expertise
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and ensuring seamless service delivery
