We are seeking a talented and passionate Sushi Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties

• Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes with precision, artistry, and consistency, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Lead and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation, safety protocols, and efficient workflow management.
• Oversee inventory control for seafood, rice, nori, and other ingredients to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas.
• Manage shift operations efficiently, including coordinating team schedules, monitoring food production timelines, and ensuring timely service.
• Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning to introduce new sushi options that align with customer preferences and current trends.
• Ensure compliance with dietary department requirements by accommodating special dietary needs and allergies while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Uphold excellent food handling practices during food production, serving, and storage to guarantee safety and quality.
• Participate in catering events or banquet services as needed, delivering exceptional sushi experiences for large groups or special occasions.
• Support restaurant management in controlling costs through effective portioning, inventory management, and waste reduction strategies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef with strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
• Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Extensive knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and proper handling of seafood products.
• Background in fine dining or high-end restaurant environments preferred.
• Experience with inventory management, cost control, and kitchen operations management.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively during busy shifts.
• Familiarity with catering services, banquet setups, and large-scale food production is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for hospitality excellence.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of quality.
