About the Role

We are looking for an experienced UKG Pro HR Solution Architect to own the end-to-end architecture of our enterprise Human Capital Management (HCM) landscape. The ideal candidate will establish UKG Pro as the primary HR system of record, while ensuring seamless integration with ADP Payroll and Workday Timekeeping.

This role requires strong UKG Pro functional knowledge, enterprise integration expertise, architecture governance capabilities, and experience leading global HR technology initiatives. You will work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, Security, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable employee data flows, secure system access, and scalable HR technology solutions.

Key Responsibilitiesy

1. Solution Architecture and Governance

• Define the target-state HCM architecture, system boundaries, ownership, integration standards, and solution design principles.
• Establish UKG Pro as the authoritative source for employee and employment data.
• Lead architecture workshops, design reviews, technical decisions, and fit-gap assessments.
• Maintain architecture documentation, integration specifications, and governance standards.

2. UKG Pro Functional Architecture

• Provide architectural oversight across Core HR, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Talent Management, People Assist, Reporting, and Security.
• Design employee lifecycle workflows covering hiring, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, termination, and rehire.
• Align UKG Pro configuration with business processes, organizational structures, and enterprise HR requirements.
• Ensure appropriate role-based access, workflow controls, and reporting capabilities.

3. ADP Payroll and Workday Timekeeping Integration

• Define and govern employee data exchange between UKG Pro, ADP Payroll, and Workday Timekeeping.
• Establish data mappings, transformation rules, field ownership, processing schedules, and interface controls.
• Implement reconciliation, exception handling, monitoring, and error recovery processes.
• Ensure employee, job, compensation, payroll, and timekeeping data remain consistent across systems.

4. Enterprise Integration Strategy

• Design integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP-based file transfers, middleware, iPaaS, and batch-processing mechanisms.
• Govern integrations across HR, Payroll, Finance, Benefits, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and analytics platforms.
• Define interface specifications, authentication, encryption, retry mechanisms, logging, and failure notifications.
• Evaluate integration solutions using platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft, or Workato.

5. Employee Lifecycle and Data Management

• Ensure accurate and timely data flow throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Define data ownership, validation rules, effective-dated changes, and duplicate-record prevention.
• Oversee data migration, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Establish data quality controls and reliable reporting across connected systems.

6. Security, Privacy, and Compliance

• Define role-based access controls, segregation of duties, and sensitive employee data protection standards.
• Ensure appropriate access to payroll, compensation, benefits, and personal information.
• Support audit requirements, privacy controls, retention policies, and applicable regulations such as GDPR.
• Partner with security and compliance teams to address risks and control gaps.

7. Implementation and Delivery Leadership

• Lead architecture discovery, solution design, fit-gap analysis, implementation planning, and technical workshops.
• Oversee integration testing, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover, and deployment readiness.
• Manage architecture risks, dependencies, defects, and technical decisions.
• Support hypercare, production issue resolution, and continuous platform optimization.

Required Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of experience in HCM, HR technology, and enterprise solution architecture.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on UKG Pro experience.
• Strong understanding of UKG Pro Core HR, employee lifecycle, organizational structures, workflows, security, and related modules.
• Mandatory integration experience involving ADP Payroll and Workday Timekeeping.
• Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP, middleware/iPaaS, data mapping, transformation, monitoring, and reconciliation.
• Proven experience in architecture governance, global HCM implementations, and senior stakeholder management.
• Ability to translate HR and payroll business requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• UKG Pro Core HR or integration certifications.
• Experience with Boomi, MuleSoft, or Workato.
• Knowledge of GDPR and regional HR data privacy requirements.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HR Technology, or a related discipline.
