Hiring Warehouse Mgr (Mining Site)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse operations at our mining site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, receiving and issuing materials, maintaining accurate stock records, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring all warehouse activities are conducted safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, issuing, and dispatching materials, spare parts, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are properly monitored.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Maintenance, Production, and other departments to ensure materials are available when required.
• Conduct regular stock counts and physical inventory checks.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and prepare replenishment requests when necessary.
• Ensure all incoming materials are properly inspected, recorded, labelled, and stored.
• Control the issuance of spare parts, tools, PPE, and other site materials.
• Maintain proper documentation for all warehouse transactions.
• Ensure materials are stored safely and appropriately according to site requirements.
• Monitor slow-moving, damaged, obsolete, or excess inventory.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Warehouse Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of warehouse or inventory management experience, preferably in mining, construction, or heavy industry.
• Experience managing warehouse staff and site-based operations.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock management, and warehouse procedures.
• Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Excel.
• Good organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Able to work independently in a remote mining-site environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work according to mining-site schedules and operational requirements.
