HIS/EMR Implementation & Support Officer - Jeddah

Job Summary

We are looking for an HIS Implementation & Support Specialist with at least 1 year of relevant experience to support the implementation, configuration, testing, training, and ongoing support of HIS/EMR across healthcare facilities in Saudi Arabia.

The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of hospital workflows, healthcare applications, HIS/EMR systems, and application support.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and deployment of Hospital Information Systems (HIS/EMR).
• Assist with system configuration, workflow setup, user access, and application-related activities.
• Gather and document requirements from hospital users and stakeholders.
• Support SIT, UAT, testing, data validation, and go-live activities.
• Provide first-level functional support to HIS users and resolve application issues.
• Escalate technical or complex issues to senior team members or vendors when required.
• Assist with post-go-live support and system stabilization.
• Support training sessions for doctors, nurses, administrative staff, and other end users.
• Prepare and maintain user guides, SOPs, test cases, and implementation documentation.
• Work with hospital departments to understand clinical and administrative workflows.
• Coordinate with IT, vendors, and integration teams for issue resolution.
• Assist with HIS upgrades, enhancements, and new module implementations.
• Maintain proper records of incidents, service requests, testing activities, and system changes.
• Follow organizational IT, information security, data privacy, and healthcare compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in HIS/EMR, healthcare IT, application support, implementation, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of hospital clinical and administrative workflows.
• Experience with HIS/EMR applications is preferred.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with clinical, administrative, IT, and vendor teams.
• Ability to work on-site at healthcare facilities when required.
• English communication skills are required.
• Arabic language is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in HIS implementation and application support.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, APIs, or healthcare system integration is an advantage.
• Familiarity with NPHIES is an advantage.
• Previous Saudi Arabia or GCC healthcare IT experience is an advantage.
