History/Economics Tutor

AR Academics, Orange County's premier test preparation and tutoring company, is seeking part-time AP History, AP Government and AP Economics tutor(s). AR specializes in test preparation, as well as academic subject tutoring for middle school, high school, college, and graduate students.

POSITION:

1-on-1 Academic History, Government and Economics tutor(s) Tutoring (Part Time)

COMPENSATION

We start at anywhere in the range from $25-$35 per hour depending on experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTIONS:

• 1-on-1 economics tutoring for high school level students (regular and AP level)

• Sessions are usually booked in 1 hour blocks with each tutor and student getting their own private room.

• Tutor is a coach and mentor, not just someone who will go through each of the questions with a student.

• Tutor will provide regular progress updates for students.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Passion for teaching and working with students

• Strong interpersonal skills that will help create a safe and fun environment for students (charisma, warmth, relatability, positivity, etc.)

• Strong background in relevant fields

• Punctual and reliable transportation

Desired/Strongly preferred:

• Prior teaching/tutoring experience

• Advanced knowledge in relevant fields

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
