HMO OFFICER

JOB TITLE: HMO OFFICER (Health Industry)

LOCATION: Rumuodara, Port Harcourt

JOB SUMMARY:
Laàlitech integrated Services is hiring a HMO Officer for their client who will manage all Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) related transactions, claims processing, client verification and reconciliation to ensure seamless service delivery and prompt payment from HMOs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Verify HMO patient eligibility and obtain authorization codes before dispensing
• Process prescriptions in line with HMO formulary and price list
• Ensure prescriptions are duly signed and stamped by prescribers
• Maintain accurate records of all HMO encounters, authorizations, and claims
• File client encounter forms, prescriptions, and approvals
• Prepare and submit HMO claims within stipulated deadlines (monthly/weekly)
• Resolve queries and discrepancies
• Attend to HMO clients professionally and explain drug coverage limitations
• Handle complaints and escalate where necessary
• Educate clients on their HMO benefits
• Prepare monthly HMO sales and claims report for management
• Ensure compliance with NHIA/HMO guidelines and pharmacy SOPs
• Ensure no expired or non-formulary drugs are billed to HMOs
• Any other duty assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS:

• OND/HND/BSc in any related field (Pharmacy Technician, Business Admin, Health Info Mgt is an added advantage)
• Minimum 1-2 years experience as HMO Officer in a pharmacy/hospital
• Good knowledge of major HMOs and NHIA processes
• Proficient in MS Excel and computer operations
• Good communication, attention to detail, and integrity

SALARY:* ₦ 100,000 - ₦ 150, 000
