HO Manager - Service Operations (North South Region)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented HO Manager (North South Region) to lead and govern service delivery, operational excellence, manpower deployment, and technical support across multiple regions.

The role demands a seasoned professional with strong expertise in boiler commissioning, troubleshooting, installation, operation maintenance, and service management, coupled with proven experience in handling large-scale projects, cross-functional teams, and regional operations.

The incumbent will act as the central governance and performance leader from the Pune Head Office, ensuring operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, safety compliance, and business growth across North and South India.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Service Governance Operations

Lead service operations across North and South regions, ensuring consistent execution and service excellence.

Establish governance mechanisms, KPI reviews, and performance tracking frameworks.

Monitor regional service delivery, project execution, and customer commitments.

Drive operational discipline through standardized reporting and review systems.

Project Technical Leadership

Provide technical leadership for boiler installation, commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and performance optimization activities.

Support critical customer escalations and complex technical issues.

Guide teams in root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and reliability improvement initiatives.

Ensure successful execution of major shutdowns, overhauls, retrofits, and modernization projects.

Team Manpower Management

Lead and mentor regional service managers, engineers, site teams, and contractor workforce.

Drive manpower planning, resource optimization, and deployment strategies.

Build a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Conduct capability assessments and succession planning for critical roles.

Performance Management Analytics

Develop dashboards and MIS reports to monitor service KPIs.

Analyze service trends, productivity metrics, and operational performance.

Identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective action plans.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and profitability.

Process Excellence Compliance

Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety standards, statutory requirements, and audit frameworks.

Lead process standardization and digitization initiatives across regions.

Drive operational excellence through Lean, Kaizen, and best-practice deployment.

Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Customer Stakeholder Management

Build strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders.

Support customer retention, service contract growth, and business expansion initiatives.

Participate in strategic reviews and customer governance meetings.

Act as the escalation point for critical customer concerns.

Capability Building

Design and implement technical and managerial training programs.

Promote knowledge sharing and best-practice deployment across regions.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related discipline.

MBA/PGDM will be an added advantage.

Experience

12-18+ years of experience in Industrial Boilers, Thermal Systems, Utility Equipment, Power Plants, or Process Industries.

Strong exposure to:

o Boiler Commissioning

o Installation Erection

o Troubleshooting

o OM Services

o Shutdown Maintenance Projects

o Customer Service Operations

Experience managing geographically dispersed teams across multiple regions.

Proven track record in handling large and complex projects.
