Hob Machine set-up/ operator

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Hob Machine Set-Up/Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, setting up, and operating Hob machines to produce precision components efficiently and accurately. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, safety standards are upheld, and quality is maintained at every step. Responsibilities

• Set up Hob machines by interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to ensure correct tooling and machine configurations.
• Operate Hob machines with precision, monitoring machining processes to meet specified tolerances using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement instruments.
• Perform routine inspections of machined parts, ensuring dimensional accuracy.
• Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime, utilizing mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards in production environments.
• Collaborate with team members on tooling adjustments, CNC programming updates, and process improvements for enhanced efficiency.
• Document machine settings, production data, and inspection results accurately for quality control records.

Requirements

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and mechanical blueprints with precision.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, shop math skills, and GD&T principles for dimensional measurements.
• Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and the ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
• Experience with materials handling and tooling setup preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude combined with factory experience in manufacturing or machining environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 46.0 per week
