Spartan Group of Companies deliver tower and mobile crane solutions across construction sites in Queensland. We're expanding our operations and seeking a skilled Hoist Rigger to join our dynamic team and support safe and efficient hoist and rigging operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, inspect, dismantle and erect personnel & material hoists, rigging gear and related lifting equipment
• Work collaboratively with site supervisors, crane/hoist operators and rigging crews to plan lifts and rigging operations
• Conduct pre-start inspections, maintain rigging gear logs, ensure compliance with safety procedures and equipment standards
• Troubleshoot rigging/hoist issues, coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and replacements
• Adhere to site safety standards, high-vis PPE requirements, and maintain clear communication on site
• Assist with rigging and dogging tasks as required, ensuring efficient workflow and minimal downtime

About You

• Construction White Card and full working rights in Australia
• Proven experience in hoist rigging or crane rigging on building sites
• Valid rigging tickets (RB, RI, RA) and/or personnel/material hoist licence/qualification
• Strong knowledge of rigging equipment: slings, shackles, chains, eye bolts, hoist systems
• Exceptional safety mindset, ability to work at height, physically fit and able to work outdoors in varied conditions
• Reliable, punctual and able to communicate clearly (radio, hand signals) with site team
• Experience in maintaining inspection records and equipment logs is a plus
