Home Based Educator - Mora

As a Home-Based Educator, you will be:

Responsible for providing weekly home visits of a minimum of 1 ½ hours per family for a caseload of up to twelve families with prenatal to five-year-old children, and conducting Family Play Day experiences as designated by the Program. Duties include assisting families in developing a comprehensive approach to school readiness. This position fosters parent/child relationships and recognizes that the parent is the child’s primary teacher and advocate. Lakes and Pines serves seven counties: Aitkin, Carlton, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs and Pine. There are currently multiple Home-Based Educator job openings throughout these areas.

Qualifications:

• Position requires a preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential within two years of hire- Lakes and Pines provides training opportunities to obtain this
• Less than one year of experience
• Experience working with children ages 0-5
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have valid driver’s license and current auto insurance coverage in compliance with Minnesota State guidelines on the vehicle used for work related travel
• Ability to effectively work across differences, especially socio-economic and cultural differences
