What you’ll do

Provide nonmedical support based on each client’s care plan, including:

• Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care.
• Companionship, conversation, and meaningful activities.
• Meal preparation and hydration reminders.
• Light housekeeping, laundry, and keeping the client’s surroundings clean and organized.
• Mobility and transfer assistance using approved techniques.
• Medication reminders as permitted by the care plan.
• Observing and promptly reporting changes or concerns.
• Completing accurate care notes and communicating with the office.

Requirements

• Active California Home Care Aide registration, or willingness to complete registration before providing client care.
• Ability to obtain the required CDSS fingerprint-based background clearance or approved exemption.
• Recent physical examination documentation and current TB clearance, or willingness to complete required health screening after a conditional offer.
• Ability to perform essential job duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Reliable transportation to assigned client homes.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record for assignments involving driving.
• Dependability, respectful communication, and a commitment to client privacy and safety.

Previous caregiving experience is preferred. Experience supporting people with dementia or assisting with personal care is a plus.
