What you'll be doing

As a Home Care Assistant, you'll support clients in their own homes by providing high-quality, person-centred care that promotes independence, choice and wellbeing.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing and grooming.
• Supporting clients with safe mobility and moving & handling.
• Prompting or administering medication in accordance with individual care plans.
• Preparing meals and encouraging good nutrition and hydration.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Helping with light household duties to maintain a clean and safe home.
• Recording care accurately using our digital care system.
• Reporting any changes in a client's health or wellbeing.
• Working closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care.

Essential requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Access to your own vehicle.
• Right to live and work in the UK.
• Good spoken and written English.
• A caring and positive attitude.

Desirable (but not essential)

• Previous experience in domiciliary or residential care.
• Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care.
• Experience using electronic care planning systems.

No previous care experience?

Don't worry. If you have the right values and a genuine passion for helping people, we'll provide full paid training.
