Home Care Support Worker

Responsibilities:

• Provide support and assistance to individuals in need, such as seniors, hospice patients, or individuals with cognitive impairments.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding if necessary.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings.
• Document client care and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.

• Knowledge of assisted living, senior care, hospice care, or dementia care is a plus.

• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.

• Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals in need of care.

• Ability to work independently.

• Flexibility in schedule to accommodate varying shifts and client needs.

• Must have own transportation to the Gould's to accommodate clients.

Documentation Required For Employment:

• Valid First Aid Certification

• A clear Code of Conduct with Vulnerable Sector Check

• 3 References (2 Professional, 1 Personal)

• 2 step TB testing

• Current Immunization Record

• Completed Medical Report (completed by a medical professional - Doctor/RN/Nurse Practitioner)
