Home Care Support Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care to individuals in their homes. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as cleaning, shopping, attending appointments, making beds, general housekeeping maintenance, companionship, meal preparations, transportation, bill paying and scheduling.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
• Manage behaviour effectively through compassionate approaches and behaviour management techniques
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Respond promptly to client needs and communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals

Skills

• Experience in home care environments
• Knowledge of patient care practices including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and behavioural management
• Ability to perform first aid and respond calmly in emergency situations
• Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach towards vulnerable individuals
• Physical ability for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility support
• Excellent organisational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the role
