This role offers a fantastic opportunity to be a key contributor at a rapidly growing, American owned and operated OTR and regional customer-based freight hauler, operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, all while maintaining a consistent home schedule. As a vital link in our logistics chain, you'll ensure timely, safe deliveries and pickups, adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers on local routes with a focus on home daily picks and deliveries
• Inspect company owned and leased assets when they are dropped and/or pass through our home terminal to determine OTR driver and equipment compliance.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to optimize routes and meet delivery schedules
• Report and troubleshoot, collaborating on solutions with Safety, Maintenance, and Operations departments to ensure a timely and compliant operation
• Comply fully with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety and maintenance needs are met
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving within local or regional areas
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trailers, and dry van trailers.
• Strong knowledge of GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
• Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving
• Experience with manual transmission trucks preferred but not required; must be comfortable operating manual handling equipment
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; previous delivery driver experience highly valued
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high safety standards and attention to detail

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 55.0 per week
