Job Description – Home Delivery Executive

Department: Restaurant Operations | Designation: Home Delivery Executive / Delivery Rider

1. Job Purpose

To ensure timely, safe, and accurate delivery of restaurant food orders to customers while maintaining excellent customer service and food hygiene standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders to customers on time and at the correct location.
• Verify order details, customer address, and payment method before dispatch.
• Handle food packages carefully to maintain quality and prevent spillage.
• Maintain professional and polite communication with customers.
• Collect cash or verify digital payments, as applicable.
• Coordinate with restaurant staff regarding order status, delays, and customer requests.
• Follow traffic rules and maintain safe riding practices.
• Maintain the delivery vehicle in good working condition.
• Report customer complaints, incorrect orders, and delivery issues to the restaurant manager.
• Maintain daily delivery records and submit cash collections as per company procedure.
• Follow restaurant policies, grooming standards, and hygiene requirements.

3. Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum 10th or 12th pass preferred.
• Valid two-wheeler driving licence, if using a bike for delivery.
• Knowledge of local routes and locations.
• Basic communication skills in Tamil; English is an advantage.
• Smartphone and Google Maps knowledge preferred.
• Previous restaurant or delivery experience is an advantage.
