Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides referred by nurse registries are required to complete specific training to comply with regulations. This includes a minimum of 2 hours of initial HIV/AIDS training and 1 hour of HIV/AIDS training biennially, as mandated by s, 381.0035, F.S. They must also maintain a current CPR certification through appropriate training. Additionally, within 30 days of assignment, caregivers are required to complete the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders (ADRD) training available on the Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA) website (elderaffairs.org). Following this, they must complete a 2-hour ADRD course within 7 months of completing the initial 1-hour training

Electronic Visit Verification (EVV)

• Caregivers must comply with the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system as required by the State of Florida. It is mandatory to use their mobile device or the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system to accurately track and record clock-in and clock-out times for each visit. Adherence to this requirement ensures compliance with state regulations and proper documentation of care

Personal Care Assistance

• Bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
• Assisting with toileting and incontinence care.
• Helping with mobility, including transfers and ambulation.
• Providing skin care, including prevention of pressure ulcers.Household Support

Preparing and serving light meals while considering dietary needs.

• Light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing the client's area.
• Assisting with shopping and errands. (Private Clients)

Health-Related Tasks

Monitoring vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, pulse) if trained to do so.

• Providing medication reminders (but not administering medication unless certified and allowed.
• Observing and reporting changes in the client's condition to a supervisor/ Registry.

Companionship and Emotional Support

Providing companionship to reduce social isolation.

Offering emotional support and engaging in conversation or recreational activities.

Administrative Duties

Perform other activities as taught and documented by a Registered Nurse.

Report incidents and accidents immediately to the Nurse Registry.
