  • Adapt instructional strategies and pacing to address the individual academic needs of the student while maintaining appropriate grade-level and course expectations.
  • Implement applicable provisions of the student's IEP, Section 504 Plan, or other District-approved educational plan, when required.
  • Monitor and document student participation, academic progress, assignments completed, and instructional content provided.

  • Maintain student confidentiality, professional boundaries, and appropriate professional conduct at all times.
  • Perform other duties directly related to the home instruction assignment as required.

Home instruction assignments are offered based on student and District needs and are not guaranteed.

To provide current Hoboken Board of Education teachers with an opportunity to express interest in available home instruction assignments, each new assignment will be made available to current District teaching staff for a 72-hour period before being offered to other qualified applicants in the Home Instruction Teacher pool.
