About Us

Texas Superior Home Services is a residential property maintenance and home repair company serving homeowners, investors, and property management companies. We specialize in make-ready services, general repairs, maintenance, painting, flooring, and property turnovers.

We are looking for a dependable, experienced, and professional Home Repair Technician / Handyman who can complete a variety of residential maintenance and repair work.

Responsibilities

The technician will be responsible for completing service calls, work orders, make-ready repairs, and general home maintenance, including:

• Drywall repairs, patching, texture, and paint touch-ups
• Interior and exterior painting
• Door, trim, baseboard, and hardware repairs
• Blind and window screen installation/replacement
• Minor plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, and fixtures
• Minor electrical repairs such as switches, outlets, light fixtures, ceiling fans, and bulbs when permitted
• Installing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
• Replacing HVAC filters
• Caulking tubs, sinks, windows, doors, and other areas
• Fence and gate repairs
• Minor siding and exterior repairs
• Cabinet and shelving repairs
• Flooring and trim repairs
• Appliance installation and basic troubleshooting
• Pressure washing and exterior maintenance
• General make-ready and property turnover repairs
• Diagnosing maintenance issues and communicating recommended repairs
• Picking up materials when required
• Taking clear before-and-after photos
• Providing detailed notes on completed work
• Keeping job sites clean and professional

Work requiring a licensed trade professional must be reported and referred appropriately.

Requirements

Candidates should:

• Have previous handyman, construction, remodeling, or property maintenance experience
• Be comfortable working independently
• Have experience using common hand and power tools
• Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Be dependable and show up to scheduled jobs on time
• Be able to communicate professionally with customers, tenants, property managers, and our office
• Be able to follow written work orders and instructions
• Have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Be able to take and upload photos from job sites
• Be comfortable using a smartphone for work orders, scheduling, photos, and communication
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
• Be able to lift approximately 50 lbs. and safely use ladders and power tools
• Keep work areas clean and protect customers’ property

We need someone who understands that this position is more than simply completing repairs. Our technicians represent Texas Superior Home Services while on the property.

Professionalism, communication, workmanship, reliability, and attention to detail are extremely important. Technicians must be able to identify problems, determine appropriate repairs within their skill level, and communicate when a job requires additional materials, authorization, or a specialized contractor.

Experience working with property management companies, rental properties, make-readies, and residential service calls is a major plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
