Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and dignity.
• Support with medication administration according to care plans, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences, encouraging healthy eating habits.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in conversations or activities that promote mental stimulation.
• Assist with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary, using proper safety protocols.
• Monitor clients’ health status, report changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is highly preferred.
• Strong background in patient care, senior care, hospice care or working with individuals with disabilities.
• Knowledge of dementia care techniques and managing behavioral challenges associated with cognitive decline.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting clients with mobility needs.
• Excellent caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and active listening abilities.
• Capable of meal preparation tailored to specific dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Valid certifications in medication administration or relevant healthcare training are advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.

Pay: Up to $21.11 per hour
