Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker (PSW) to provide high-quality care and assistance to seniors in a home care setting. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients, particularly those with disabilities, dementia, or assistance with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity and comfort. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized support and caregiving. Duties

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility support and toileting
• Prepare nutritious and or specialty Caribbean style meals such as pelau, roti, ground provision, callaloo, coo-coo etc tailored to individual dietary needs and or preference
• Perform light household duties including laundry, wash dishes by hand and mend clothes
• Support patients with mobility and heavy lifting as required
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks
• Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals
• Assist with medical appointments and transportation when necessary
• Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation Qualifications
• Prior experience in assisted living or home care is preferred
• Knowledge of patient care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
• Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach
• Excellent communication skills and patience when working with seniors
• Assist with medication reminders as required
• Basic understanding of cleaning and sanitation procedures related to health standards

Pay: $22.50 per hour
