Home Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable, patient, and compassionate Home Support Worker to provide personal care and assistance to an adult with physical disabilities in a private home in Brampton, Ontario.

Responsibilities:

• Administer bedside and personal care.
• Administer medications.
• Assist clients in water (e.g., pool).
• Assist with bathing and personal hygiene.
• Assist with regular exercise, such as walking.
• Change non-sterile dressings.
• Feed or assist with feeding.
• Plan therapeutic diets and menus.
• Provide companionship.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.

Requirements:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• 1 to less than 7 months of experience.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Criminal record check required.
• Reliable, punctual, patient, organized, honest, and dependable.
• Good communication skills, flexibility, initiative, and judgement.

Work Conditions:

• Work on-site at the employer's private home in Brampton, Ontario.
• Non-smoking environment.
• Repetitive tasks.
• Optional live-in accommodation available at no charge. This is not a condition of employment.
