At Mission Plumbing, Heating & Cooling (part of Southern Home Services), we’re adding a residential Service Technician who thrives on diagnostics, quality installations, and safe, code-compliant repairs.

Your impact

• Find the real issue fast—diagnose failures in residential plumbing systems and equipment.
• Present clear repair vs. replace recommendations tailored to each home.
• Install and assemble pipes, valves, fittings, fixtures, and related systems.
• Service, maintain, and repair water and gas lines and components.
• Perform leak checks using water and/or compressed air for safety and performance.
• Execute repairs such as replacing washers, fixing burst pipes, and clearing clogs.
• Track truck inventory; restock proactively and verify deliveries received.
• Maintain tools and equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain required PPE.
• Support other team needs as assigned.

What sets you apart

• 2+ years of hands-on plumbing experience across residential and/or commercial service.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Comfort reading blueprints, technical drawings, and job specs.
• Solid grasp of installing, maintaining, and repairing water, gas, and sewage systems.
• Up-to-date knowledge of local and state plumbing codes.
• Experience with pipe cutters, threaders, soldering/brazing tools, and more.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and teammates.
• Physically fit for lifting, confined-space work, and extended tool use.
• Safety-conscious with a disciplined approach to procedures.
• Customer service focus with a reputation for professionalism.
• Comfort using mobile apps and job-tracking software.
• Leadership potential: mentor apprentices and coordinate with other trades.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency calls as needed.

Physical requirements

• Lift 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Climb ladders; work in attics and crawlspaces; maneuver in tight quarters; push, pull, carry; use hand tools; and perform fine-detail tasks; drive between calls.
• Ability to drive.
• Work in indoor and outdoor environments, including attics and crawlspaces.
• Stand, walk, and sit; talk and hear in person and by phone.
• Use hands to handle/feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Routinely stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
• Regular exposure to heat, cold, wind, rain, ice, or snow.
