Family Care for Children & Youth, Inc. works to provide preventative, hands-on, in-home services to families in need. The Homemaker Services Program aims to empower families to learn necessary skills to be a stabilize the family unit.

We are seeking a Homemaker for the Schuylkill County, PA, area.

HOMEMAKER SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Demonstrate an ability to perform and teach skills related to:
  • parenting (experience preferred).
  • establishing and maintaining a household budget
  • menu planning and weekly grocery shopping
  • maintaining a consistent cleaning, cooking and laundry schedule
  • Coordinating other household management activities.
  • maintaining medical and dental care
  • nutrition and hygiene.
• Communicate with the referring county case worker.
• Participate in court hearings as requested for the families being served.
• Complete assessments, service plans, and reports.
• Must travel once a week to our West Lawn, PA location for group staffing and individual staffing.
• This is an hourly position with competitive hourly pay. Hours will vary based upon the client's specific needs.
• A company vehicle, equipment and gas card will be included with this position.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
• Childline, FBI, PA State Police, and National Sex Offender Clearances
