Homestay Operations Executive

About the role

Manage the day-to-day operations of homestays in Penang. Our current locations are within walking distance of each other.

Key responsibilities

• Handle bookings and guest enquiries, and coordinate check-ins and check-outs
• Arrange the cleaners' schedules and ensure the rooms, buildings and common areas are clean and tidy
• Monitor supplies and other guest amenities, and arrange restocking when needed
• Handle purchasing when needed, including sourcing and ordering supplies and items required for maintenance
• Oversee maintenance and repairs, and liaise with contractors and suppliers to arrange work and follow up
• Attend to tenant enquiries or issues and coordinate with the relevant parties to resolve them
• Respond to guest requests and help resolve operational issues
• Monitor and reply to guest messages at night when needed

About you

• Responsible, organised and friendly, with good communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable using a computer, smartphone and online apps
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Available to work on weekends and public holidays
• Experience in homestay, hotel or hospitality operations (preferred)
• Familiarity with online booking platforms (preferred)
