What they need

Application Deadline Not applicable

Position Details The John V. Roach Honors College occasionally has openings for part-time temporary adjunct instructors. Applying for a part-time teaching appointment in the Honors College would add the applicant to a pool for consideration in case the need arises for the upcoming academic year.

Preference will be given to applicants with a terminal degree in their field and evidence of effective undergraduate teaching who are able to offer lower-division Honors Cultural Visions courses (creatively designed courses, accessible to students from all majors, in which students examine the beliefs, norms, and values into which they have been socialized and ways in which these cultural roots shape their perceptions of other cultures).

Department Details N/A

School/College Description The John V. Roach Honors College is a community of ambitious, intellectually curious students from every major on campus (over 1,200 in total, approximately 10 percent of the TCU undergraduate population). Honors College faculty craft unique learning experiences through which students encounter ideas and perspectives beyond their majors, adding depth and context to students’ undergraduate studies and accelerating their personal growth. Through high-impact practices such as intercultural and interdisciplinary inquiry, discussion-intensive seminars, independent research and creative projects, and community-engaged learning, Honors students are immersed in a culture of transformative inquiry. Honors students are further supported by a dedicated team of Honors Academic Advisors.
