Hookah Tender / Cook

Overview

Casablanca Lounge is a small family owned hookah lounge in downtown San Diego. Our hookah tenders are both hookah prep and cooks since our kitchen is very small. Although our kitchen is small we still put in a lot of effort and love into our cooking since our wings are some of the most famous in downtown. We teach both stations thoroughly so no experience is necessary. Our kitchen is only fried food so wings, mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers, fries ect super simple bar food. We are looking for someone who is driven and self motivated to take the Tuesday and Wednesday night shifts. Those shifts would be from 9pm to 2am with sometimes staying till 2:30am or until closing duties are completed.

Duties

• Prepare and cook food, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Manage food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean workspace
• Preparing and serving hookah ensuring quality and safety standards are met
• Assist in meal preparation for high-volume service periods while maintaining consistency and presentation
• Handle food handling responsibilities responsibly, including food safety management practices and proper storage techniques

Skills

• Any skills in hookah prep and/or cooking is a plus but not needed.

Pay: From $17.75 per hour
