Horizontal Boring Machine Operator

We’re currently looking for an experienced Horizontal Boring Machine Operator to join our field operations team. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in precision, and want steady, well-paid work with a company that values its people, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Set up, operate, and maintain horizontal boring machines
• Load and unload materials and properly set up workpieces and fixtures
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
• Monitor operations and make adjustments to ensure accuracy and quality
• Inspect completed work to verify it meets job and safety standards
• Perform routine troubleshooting and maintenance as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and jobsite regulations

What We’re Looking For

• Valid CDL-A license (required)
• 2+ years of horizontal boring machine experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and stay productive on the road
• Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in loud environments and varying temperatures

Pay & Benefits

• $25–$35 per hour (based on experience)

Travel & Location Disclaimer:
Gilbert Network Solutions is headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI, but our projects span the entire state of Michigan. This role requires overnight travel Monday through Friday, with travel frequency varying based on your home dispatch location and the specific project assignments.
