WEEKDAYS: $70 Standby

WEEKENDS: $100(+) Standby

For each visit you conduct will be paid:
- $100 for <20 mile radius

- $150 for >20 mile radius

Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join our on-call team. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate nursing care to hospice patients during on-call hours, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives while working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to patient needs during on-call shifts, providing skilled nursing assessments and interventions.
• Administer medications, including IV infusions, and manage symptom control such as pain and discomfort.
• Conduct patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to evaluate patient status.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans.
• Document all patient interactions accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding hospice care plans.

Requirements

• Valid LVN license in the state of practice with current CPR certification.
• Critical care experience in Hospice (+1 year required)
• Proficiency in Kinnser.
• Knowledge of medication administration, IV infusion techniques, and basic life support procedures.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to assess patient needs quickly and accurately.
• Ability to work independently during on-call hours while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Pay: $70.00 - $150.00 per hour
